Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network dedicated to improving access to STEM education for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey. They are seeking a skilled Project Manager to implement and execute transformational organizational outcomes using Agile methodologies and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Attend the meeting of the team you will be supporting (weekly or daily)
- Create user stories to describe work items, with clear descriptions and acceptance criteria
- Prioritize stories for the backlog and keep the team organized and focused
- Conduct weekly meetings with stake holders and monitor the health of the Kanban board
- Encourage team members to utilize JIRA for task management
- Drive open communication with team members
- Be the servant leader for the team members, mentoring/assisting them when needed
- Identify opportunities for improvement and be “THE CHAMPION OF CHANGE”
Skills
- Demonstrated expertise and application of Agile methodologies, techniques and frameworks
- Successful track record of driving and facilitating teams
- Commitment to continuous learning and mindset of relentless improvement
- Experience using Jira, Kanban or Sprint Board, Slack
- Excellent communication, analytical, mentoring and problem-solving skills
- Minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week
