The Platform Services & Operations group within Core OS is searching for a talented Workflow Systems Analyst to design and develop critical workflow tooling at scale. Your focus will be on delivering valuable data and insights while engaging with partners across the organization to provide education and support for workflow initiatives.
What You'll Do
As a Workflow Systems Analyst at arenaflex, you'll serve as both a data visualization expert and a strategic partner to our engineering teams. Your work will directly impact how our organization understands and improves its software development processes. Here's what you can expect:
- Dashboard Development: Create compelling, intuitive visualizations of key metrics and progress toward organizational goals. You'll design dashboards that tell stories with data, making complex information accessible and actionable for stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical Partnership: Serve as the insight and visualization expert for a mature team of Data Scientists and Engineers, bridging the gap between technical teams and business leadership through clear, data-backed communication.
- Iterative Design Process: Present dashboard prototypes to teams, actively gather feedback, and continuously improve end products based on user needs and evolving business requirements.
- Workflow Characterization: Profile complex systems, document current states, and identify targeted areas for improvement. You'll become the expert on how our workflows operate and where opportunities exist.
- Pattern Recognition: Identify patterns and trends in large datasets that others might miss, translating raw data into strategic recommendations.
- Change Leadership: Work directly with partner teams to drive action, translating insights into measurable wins and organizational improvements.
- Metrics Development: Develop key performance indicators, recommend policy changes, and deliver action plans to all levels of leadership.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
- Professional Experience: Minimum 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or in a similar analytical role.
- Analytics Expertise: Solid working knowledge of analytics methodologies including visualization, statistical analysis, and understanding of the Analytics Maturity Curve (Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive, and Prescriptive analytics).
- Insight Translation: Demonstrated ability to turn research into actionable insights, including the ability to develop key metrics, recommend policy changes, and deliver action plans to leadership at all levels.
- Tableau Proficiency: Advanced Tableau development skills with the ability to create sophisticated, interactive dashboards.
- SQL Expertise: Capable SQL user with experience in aggregations, nested queries, and data inspection/validation.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Software Development Analytics: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DORA metrics, and LEAN software delivery methodologies.
- Software Development Knowledge: Understanding of build pipelines, merging processes, testing systems and methodologies, and code delivery pipelines.
- Product Ownership: Experience taking full accountability for key project outcomes, including driving efforts and generating concrete results through analytics.
- Project Management: Ability to plan and drive initiatives across partner teams toward unified goals.
