[Remote] Program/Data Analyst Advisor

General Dynamics Information Technology is a global technology and professional services company that delivers consulting, technology, and mission services to every major agency across the U.S. government. They are seeking a Principal Program/Data Analyst to support data collection and analysis efforts for a government program, enhancing reporting and analytics capabilities while coordinating data collection efforts.

Responsibilities

• Work within federal staff led functional lanes to enhance the collection and analysis of program data
• Update and develop on-site data collection tools and processes to yield statistically reliable and informative data and support field program assessments
• Assist in identifying performance outcomes and indicators
• Identify uniform data points and conduct high-level data interpretation/analysis using a data analytics platform
• Prepare written summaries and presentations that reflect the results of the data analysis and present findings to agency leadership
• Oversee the quality and the production of both routine and ad hoc analytical reports
• Assist in the training of contractor and field staff on the use of data collection and analysis tools
• Support with projects that promote the continual improvement of data analysis
• Compile, analyze, and visualize data using a data visualization platform such as Power BI or Tableau
• Build data repositories/databases and provide ad-hoc data reporting as needed

Skills

• 8 + years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree in data science, data analytics, or similar degree with at least 7-8 years of experience conducting quantitative and qualitative data interpretation and analysis
• High degree of familiarity working with sensitive-PII and integrity in protecting customer data
• Working knowledge of data visualization platforms (Tableau or Power BI) and scripting languages (R, Python)
• Working knowledge of SQL and familiarity with relational databases
• Advanced skills in Excel and VBA
• Exceptional analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as strong attention to detail
• This position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust
• Master's degree
• Experience working with immigrants, refugees, and underserved populations
• Statistical analysis and modeling
• Natural language processing
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis
• Data engineering and experience working with large datasets, performing tasks such as data cleaning and processing (ETL)
• Solid knowledge of SQL including CTE's
• Python and/or R
• Tableau
• Palantir
• Linux and ability to maintain a Linux server
