Tax Manager
Overview A growing public accounting firm is seeking a Tax Manager to join its team, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses. This role offers exposure to complex tax matters across pass-through entities, individual returns, and estate/gift planning. The firm provides a collaborative environment, strong leadership visibility, and a clear path for advancement.
Responsibilities
• Manage and review a wide range of tax engagements, including partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps, and individual (1040) returns
• Oversee tax compliance for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates
• Review and advise on estate, trust, and gift tax filings
• Provide strategic tax planning for business owners and individuals
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
• Mentor and review the work of senior and staff-level tax professionals
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
• Collaborate with partners on complex tax strategies and client planning initiatives
• Stay current on tax law changes and advise clients accordingly
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Tax preferred)
• CPA required
• 6+ years of public accounting tax experience
• Strong experience with pass-through entities, 1040s, and entity taxation
• Exposure to estate, trust, and gift tax preferred
• Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
Compensation & Benefits
• Base salary: $135,000 – $180,000
