**Job Summary**
As a Senior Big Data Software Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for leading complex projects and initiatives, designing and developing scalable data-driven solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from data warehousing and business intelligence to machine learning and artificial intelligence.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Lead complex projects and initiatives, including data warehousing, business intelligence, machine learning, and artificial intelligence
* Design and develop scalable data-driven solutions using Hadoop, Teradata, MongoDB, AWS, and other big data technologies
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data analysts, and business stakeholders, to drive business outcomes
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, including data quality, data governance, and data security
* Develop and maintain high-quality code, including Python, Unix/Shell scripting, Scala, Flash, HBase, Oozie, Flume, and Kafka
* Work with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, to deliver high-quality solutions on time and on budget
* Collaborate with other teams, including DevOps and Quality Assurance, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions
**Required Capabilities**
* 3+ years of experience in programming, or equivalent experience through work, training, military experience, or education
* 3+ years of active experience in Hadoop, Teradata, MongoDB, AWS, and other big data technologies
* 3+ years of experience in Python and Unix/Shell scripting, Scala, Flash, HBase, Oozie, Flume, and Kafka
* 3+ years of experience in Ansible and other automation tools
* Strong relational skills (verbal and written) across all hierarchical levels of technical and non-technical audiences
* Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and have a proactive attitude
* Experience in planning ETL data streams using mapping/work processes to extract data from SQL Server and Data Relocation and Change from Prophet/Access/Excel Sheets using SQL Server SSIS
* Related knowledge functioning as a Programmer at arenaflex
**Preferred Capabilities**
* Experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, machine learning, and artificial intelligence
* Experience in working with cloud-based platforms, including AWS and Azure
* Experience in working with containerization platforms, including Docker and Kubernetes
* Experience in working with DevOps tools, including Jenkins and GitLab
* Experience in working with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
