The Staff Attorney will review immigration applications, perform legal research, and assist in helping clients obtain necessary documents while working closely with senior attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Review draft immigration applications pursuant to instructions from Senior Attorneys
- Identify, track, and make necessary edits prior to submission
- Clearly communicate to other team members regarding edits
- Meet daily goals on reviewing cases
- Perform legal research on immigration law topics
Skills
- J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school
- Active member in good standing of a state bar
- Ability to follow detailed directions
- Support mission of helping people currently living in America obtain their documents and stay together with their family
- Computer skills (Typing - MS Word and MS Excel, Document Management-DropBox, Email - MS Outlook)
- Experience using a case management software system
- Interest in immigration law
