Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Closure is a startup focused on aiding law enforcement in solving crime through innovative technology. They are seeking a Founding Business Development / Account Executive to work closely with the CEO and founding team to drive sales and expand their impact in the public safety sector.
Responsibilities
- Own every stage of the cycle: outbound, discovery, demo, pilot, procurement, negotiation, and close, post-close touchpoints
- Co-lead pilots and POCs that convert frontline users into champions
- Manage CRM hygiene, deal documentation, and transparent communications
- Generate your own pipeline through outbound, conferences, referrals, and relationships in the law enforcement community
- Build and maintain a trusted group of decision-makers across police departments, sheriffs' offices, prosecutors’ offices, and federal LEOs
- Identify and prioritize the agencies most likely to benefit from Closure
- Navigate the realities of agency buying: RFPs, sole-source justifications, cooperative purchasing vehicles, grant cycles, competing priorities, and security reviews
- Help define positioning, pricing, and sales motion as the company scales
- Bring the voice of the customer back to product and engineering—the roadmap will be shaped by what you hear in the field
- Represent Closure at conferences nationwide (IACP, major chiefs and sheriffs associations, and regional conferences)
Skills
- Experience: 3+ years
- Visa: US citizen/visa only
- Full-Cycle Sales experience
- Ability to generate own pipeline through outbound, conferences, referrals, and relationships in the law enforcement community
- Experience navigating agency buying processes: RFPs, sole-source justifications, cooperative purchasing vehicles, grant cycles, competing priorities, and security reviews
- Ability to help define positioning, pricing, and sales motion as the company scales
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to thrive in early-stage environments
- Experience in complex B2B or B2G sales
- Owner mentality and responsibility for deals
- Low-ego, high-standards approach to work
- Prior experience in law enforcement, federal agencies, or prosecutors' offices
- Experience selling into law enforcement buyers
- Location: Preferred in NYC or SF Bay Area, but hybrid or remote settings will be considered
