Position Overview
We're looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst and Clerk to join our growing data team. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, organizing, analyzing, and presenting data from various sources to support business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Integration: Gather and assemble information from numerous sources, including databases, system logs, external datasets, and third-party APIs. Integrate data from multiple platforms to create comprehensive datasets for analysis.
- Data Cleaning & Preparation: Prepare and organize information to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Transform raw data into usable formats suitable for analysis, including data cleaning, validation, and standardization processes.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform data analysis using advanced statistical techniques, data mining, and visualization methods to discover trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategy and operational improvements.
- Reporting & Visualization: Create compelling reports, interactive dashboards, and visualizations to communicate data findings effectively to stakeholders. Present data-driven insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity through regular data validation, quality checks, and error correction. Implement best practices for data governance and maintain documentation of data processes.
- Data Modeling: Build and maintain robust data models to support business needs, reporting requirements, and analytical initiatives. Design efficient data structures and relationships for optimal query performance.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to address data-related challenges and provide actionable insights that drive business decisions.
- Tool Utilization: Utilize industry-standard data analysis and visualization tools including SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Google Data Studio, and other relevant platforms to accomplish analytical objectives.
Essential Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) are a plus but not required.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis using statistical methods and data manipulation tools. Strong command of at least one programming language such as SQL, Python, or R.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to address complex data-related challenges. Capacity to think critically and develop innovative solutions to analytical problems.

Compensation & Benefits
