The Role: Lead Data Analyst

In this pivotal role, you will partner with cross-functional teams throughout the organization to transform data into information, information into insights, and insights into strategic business decisions that steer the company's future. You will lead our reporting initiatives and data strategy, orchestrating professionals to build tooling and communicate effectively with our partners across the entire arenaflex ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
- Business Performance Reporting and Visualization: Serve as the primary partner for cross-functional stakeholders to understand platform performance. When metrics are ahead or behind expectations, dive deep to drive meaningful, actionable insights that help the business improve performance or double down on success.
- Reporting and Tooling Strategy: Lead the team in creating meaningful and consistent metrics and reporting across all streaming platforms. Develop robust reporting frameworks that provide real-time visibility into business performance.
- BI Execution and Technical Leadership: Drive reporting for large-scale data initiatives. Act as the subject matter expert for professionals on the team and collaborate with Data Engineering and Software Engineering teams to design and build performant ETLs, intermediate tables, and visually appealing, fast-loading Tableau and Looker dashboards.
- Single Source of Truth Creation: Partner with our Governance team to bring together analysts and stakeholders from across the organization to define and standardize the metrics by which we assess product performance and business success.
- ETL and Metric Design: Own measurement design and production by defining business requirements, architecture and development, and long-term data scalability. Ensure our data infrastructure can support growing analytical needs.
- Collaboration and Communication: Partner closely with business stakeholders to identify and understand what drives their decisions. Work with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, testing platforms, data visualization, and data architecture.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence in analytical practices.
Essential Qualifications
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in developing data analysis and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Chartio, or similar platforms.
- Professional Experience: 4+ years of analytical experience, preferably specifically in analytics engineering or business intelligence.
- Database Expertise: Strong command of SQL, with some experience in SparkSQL, Hive, or similar big data query languages.
- Cloud Data Platforms: Extensive experience with OLAP databases such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or Google BigQuery.
- ETL Development: Experience developing and maintaining advanced tables for reporting through ETL processes.
- Project and Resource Management: Proven experience in project and resource management, outlining objectives and timelines, and coordinating work across multiple stakeholders.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, R, or other statistical programming languages.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, along with strong written and verbal presentation abilities and experience presenting to diverse audiences.
- Drive and Passion: Unwavering initiative and enthusiasm for delivering exceptional products and results.
