We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacist to join our dynamic pharmacy team in a part-time remote capacity. Position Overview
As a Pharmacist at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in executing medical services procedures and driving patient wellbeing results. You will be responsible for implementing patient intervention pharmacy programs, ensuring compliance with clinical pharmacy services, and maintaining the highest standards of pharmaceutical care. This role requires a professional who can balance clinical expertise with business acumen, driving pharmacy financial performance while prioritizing patient health outcomes.
The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented pharmacist with excellent communication skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to thrive in a remote work environment. You will serve as a knowledgeable resource to other pharmacists and field leaders while fostering strong relationships with clinical communities in your assigned region.
Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for:
- Direct Patient Care Programs: Implement and manage direct patient care programs, including Drug Therapy Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects. You will work directly with patients to optimize their medication regimens and improve health outcomes.
- Clinical Program Execution: Drive the execution of multiple business strategies and projects to ensure business needs are met while maintaining the highest standards of clinical care. This includes developing and implementing innovative approaches to patient engagement and medication management.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Lead compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services. You will analyze processes, evaluate outcomes, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and patient safety. Ensure all pharmacies comply with regulatory compliance, standard operating procedures, and FDA guidelines.
- Financial Performance: Drive local pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies with company financial goals. Implement and execute patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance while improving patient health outcomes.
- Patient Experience Enhancement: Support efforts to improve patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services, including patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and retail, clinical, or health services such as inoculations, illness state management, and Specialty programs.
- Team Leadership and Support: Provide expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacists and field leadership. Support staff training experiences and development opportunities. Promote teamwork and motivate pharmacy staff by fostering a shared vision and supporting company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Medication Safety and Accuracy: Conduct data and clinical reviews and take necessary actions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications. Review drug histories and patient profiles to ensure appropriate and safe medication treatment. Provide individualized patient/provider consultation.
- Patient Relationship Building: Through utilization of superior interpersonal skills, earn the trust of patients by listening to their concerns and providing a sounding board for pharmacy concerns. Build lasting relationships that promote patient loyalty and clinical adherence.
- Program Evaluation: Provide feedback concerning the effectiveness of the Client Retention Program, including comments from patients as the value of individual consultations. Use patient feedback to continuously improve service delivery.
- Clinical Consultation: Answerable for all inquiries, transactions, and issues which relate directly to patient treatment. Provide clinical consultation and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations. Adhere to guidelines and procedures for all job duties to meet objectives. Comply with company policies and procedures including all HIPAA regulations/guidelines.
- Additional Duties: Perform other work consistent with the job duties in this document as assigned by management.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or related field required.
- Licensure: Current Pharmacist license as permitted by the appropriate state licensing authority. Ability to obtain other state pharmacy licenses if necessary.
- Experience: Experience advancing colleagues to research and resolve issues. Experience working with confidential information.
- Availability: Able to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays and/or weekends.
- Time Management: Experience utilizing time management skills, such as prioritizing/organizing and following details and meeting deadlines of multiple tasks with varying completion dates.
- Independent Work: Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
- Customer Service: Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including satisfying quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Travel: Ready to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will strengthen your application:
- Knowledge of insurance plans and billing procedures
- Knowledge of computer operating systems including Radio, Commitment, and Plus
- Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a line, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, adjusting text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets)
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: embedding, editing, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding bullet points, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or note, moving objects, printing frame view and/or running a slide show)
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and adjusting text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, formatting, inserting bullets, pictures and dates, using find and replace, repair, spell check, track changes, review sheet and/or print capabilities)
- Experience with specialty pharmacy services
- Previous remote pharmacy experience
- Immunization certification
