The Role: Account Manager - Marketplace Development
As an Account Manager specializing in Marketplace Development at Arenaflex, you will play a critical role in expanding our third-party seller ecosystem. This position is chartered with acquiring, developing, and managing high-value accounts that drive new product selection, competitive pricing, and exceptional convenience for our customers. You'll be responsible for identifying product selection gaps and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies that attract key marketplace players to join our platform.
Your work will directly contribute to maximizing our product selection and growing our customer base. Key Responsibilities
- Market Intelligence & Analysis: Develop a thorough understanding of marketplace segments, seasonal trends, and global market developments. Continuously monitor competitor efforts, industry shifts, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic decision-making and stay ahead of market dynamics.
- Strategic Prospecting & Acquisition: Identify, prospect, and acquire high-potential sellers to our platform through direct sales visits, industry events, and compelling presentations. Build a robust pipeline of qualified leads and convert them into long-term partners who contribute meaningfully to our marketplace growth.
- Seller Enablement & Success: Guide sellers through the onboarding process and share industry best practices for online selling. Provide data-driven insights that help sellers achieve high standards of delivery, exceptional customer experience, and their own business objectives. Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to your seller portfolio.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve vendor challenges. Work cross-functionally with teams in marketing, operations, product, and finance to ensure seamless seller experiences and successful outcomes.
- GTM Strategy Execution: Execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new product categories and seller launches. Develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive marketplace growth, improve product availability, and enhance the overall customer shopping experience.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze sales data, customer behavior metrics, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Use insights to optimize seller performance and drive measurable results across your account portfolio.

Essential Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. Degrees in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related fields are highly preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in the e-commerce, technology, retail, or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industries. We're looking for individuals who understand the dynamics of selling solutions to business clients.
- Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets using consultative and solutions-focused selling processes. You should have a proven ability to understand client needs and craft tailored solutions that deliver value.
- Experience launching nascent products or offerings into new markets is strongly preferred. If you've helped introduce something new to an audience, we'd love to hear about it.
- Advanced communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively. You should be comfortable presenting to C-level executives and small business owners alike.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and MS Office programs. You'll be working with data daily, so proficiency in spreadsheet analysis is essential.

- 3+ years of direct sales experience with a proven track record of closing deals and building client relationships.
- Familiarity with marketplace platforms, seller ecosystems, and third-party logistics is a strong advantage.
- Experience working with international teams or in cross-cultural environments is a plus, especially given our global footprint.
