Wind EHS Leader – North America Operations, Maintenance and Upgrades

Job Description: • Champion a proactive safety culture that prioritizes employee well-being and operational excellence. • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS into all aspects of operations serving as a clear partner to the North America OM&U organization • Inspire and develop a high-performing EHS team across North America, fostering collaboration and accountability • Develop and own standard work for high-performing team inclusive of talent development, audit schedule and capability building • Attract and retain top EHS talent; manage medium to large teams with senior professional direct reports. • Interface with customers and contractors to communicate EHS performance, expectations, and compliance requirements. • Define and implement clear roles and responsibilities for the EHS field team to ensure consistency and efficiency. • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses, driving corrective actions and knowledge sharing. • Oversee audits and assessments to maintain compliance and mitigate operational risks including maintaining quarterly audit program of wind farms and high risk work. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in the field of EHS or engineering. • 15+ years of EHS leadership experience, ideally in renewable energy or industrial sectors. • Proven ability to lead distributed teams and influence across a matrix organization. • Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging data for decision-making. • Communicate complex messages and negotiate internally and externally to influence outcomes.
