Exciting times ahead. Having secured a grant from NLCF, we have ordered the build of a state-of-the-art, electric and fully accessible canal boat. This is due for completion in early summer and the progress of the build can be followed on our website.<br><br>What difference will you make?<br><br>The Charity is currently governed by a Board of five trustees. We are now seeking to expand the Board and build a more diverse group of trustees to ensure a broad mix of skills, knowledge, and experience. This will help widen perspectives, strengthen decision-making, and give the Board greater flexibility in meeting future challenges.<br><br>What are we looking for?<br><br>We are looking for someone who can contribute time, expertise and ideas to help move CanalAbility forward and is able to<br><br><ul><li>Share our passion for our work and mission and is willing to contribute actively to the charity’s future development.</li><li>Have the ability to facilitate a good dynamic as a member of the board to allow for challenging supportive and unifying discussions that reach consensus.</li><li>Evaluate strategic options, demonstrating strong analytical skills, balanced with a practical approach to governance.</li><li>Work well with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Act as a spokesperson for the Charity.<br><br></li></ul>AND<br><br><ul><li>Have leadership experience</li><li>Be willing to bring relevant contacts to the role.<br><br></li></ul>Remote<br><br>What will you be doing?<br><br><strong>Skills We Are Particularly Seeking<br><br></strong>While we welcome applications from anyone passionate about our mission, we are especially keen to hear from individuals with experience or expertise in<br><br><ul><li>Human Resources</li><li>Information Technology</li><li>Fundraising</li></ul>
