HyperionDev is one of the leading providers of accelerated tech education in EMEA and one of the earliest pioneers of coding bootcamps globally. We partner with top universities, including Imperial College London, The London School of Economics, The University of Edinburgh, and Stellenbosch University to deliver structured programmes that help people launch careers in software development, data, and design.
Our mission is to close the global tech skills gap. We combine high-quality curriculum, human mentorship, and expert code review, supported by a distributed workforce in Southern Africa. This model allows us to deliver accessible, career-focused education at scale, reaching learners in over 60 countries each year.
We’ve been recognised as one of the world’s leading edtech scaleups and have received backing from Meta, who recognised HyperionDev as one of the most socially impactful startups operating in Africa. We’ve also partnered with organisations such as the UK’s Department for Education to provide funded access to our programmes, helping learners transition into roles at companies including AstraZeneca and the NHS.
We are a profitable, primarily bootstrapped business, backed by nearly 2,000 investors following one of the largest crowdfunding rounds in edtech.
Alongside this, we are building HyperDev, an AI-powered coding assistant with a human in the loop.
We also operate Longdue, an independent studio focused on creating deeply narrative, psychologically rich RPG experiences.
We are looking for an experienced, full-time Talent Acquisition Partner to identify, engage with and hire A-player talent for HyperionDev as we scale our team.
As the Talent Acquisition Partner, you will be responsible for the full recruitment cycle, which includes assisting in developing and reviewing the hiring toolkit (job spec, outcomes, assessment) for each role, proactively identifying and sourcing prospects, screening and evaluating candidates, and managing the job offer process with selected candidates. You will handle internal stakeholders and build strong relationships with hiring managers as you train them on our hiring process, update them on progress on their roles, and guide them on their hiring plans, job specifications and candidate evaluation.
You will also help develop the company-wide talent acquisition strategy in collaboration with the Talent and People Operations teams, support us in building our EVP and talent community, and contribute to employer brand promotion through social content and talent webinars. You will track hiring metrics to help make further improvements to our hiring process.
As you will be the main point of contact for applicants for several roles, you will need to ensure a positive candidate experience. To be successful in this role, you should have good knowledge of sourcing tools and techniques.
