Job Description: Social Learning Coach (Part-Time with Pathway to Full Time)Overview Frankenberger Associates is a growing, research-informed practice providing social learning coaching to children, adolescents, college students, and adults. We partner with clients to develop the social awareness, communication, flexibility, and relationship-building skills needed to navigate school, work, and everyday life with greater confidence and success. This role is designed to begin as a part-time position, with the expectation of growth to a full-time role over approximately 3–6 months, as a client roster is built and program needs expand. We are seeking a coach who is interested in a longer-term role with Frankenberger Associates and who is able and willing to increase availability over time as demand supports it. This is not a traditional tutoring, classroom teaching, or therapy role. Successful candidates are skilled at building nuanced coaching relationships and helping clients apply social learning strategies within real-world situations and interactions. Role Summary The Social Learning Coach provides one-on-one virtual coaching using a strengths-based, individualized approach. Coaching focuses on helping clients strengthen conversational skills, perspective taking, flexible thinking, reading social cues, self-regulation, and navigation of complex social situations across academic, professional, and personal settings. Social learning work at Frankenberger Associates is highly individualized and rooted in real-world interactions and experiences. Rather than teaching social skills in isolation, coaches use clients’ everyday social experiences, relationships, challenges, and goals as the foundation for building insight, awareness, confidence, and practical strategies that transfer across settings. Clients may include children, adolescents, college students, and adults with social learning challenges related to ADHD, high-functioning autism, anxiety, executive functioning weaknesses, or other social communication differences. Key Responsibilities Direct Coaching • Provide 1:1 virtual social learning coaching to a consistent client roster. • Build strong relationships with clients and families that support initial enrollment, ongoing engagement, and rebooking of services over time. • Support clients in developing conversational skills, perspective taking, flexible thinking, social awareness, self-monitoring, and relationship-building skills. • Help clients navigate challenges related to friendships, peer dynamics, social confidence, emotional regulation, dating, communication, self-advocacy, and interpreting social cues. • Use clients’ real-world social experiences across school, work, family, and daily life as the foundation for coaching work. • Adapt coaching approaches to meet the developmental and emotional needs of children, adolescents, college students, and adults. • Provide thoughtful, direct, and compassionate feedback while maintaining a supportive coaching relationship. Planning & Documentation • Prepare for sessions and complete session notes and documentation within required timelines. • Track client progress and adjust coaching plans based on observed needs and goals. • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, educators, therapists, and other professionals, when appropriate, to support consistency and generalization of skills. • Use Frankenberger Associates’ digital systems and platforms consistently and accurately. Program & Practice Support (as hours increase) • Participate in ongoing learning related to social learning, coaching practice, and client engagement. • Support the development or refinement of tools, resources, and internal programming related to social learning services. • Participate in collaborative case discussions and team meetings. • Engage in project-based work that supports program development and long-term growth. Time Commitment & Growth Pathway • Initial role begins part-time, with hours increasing gradually as a client roster is built. • This position is intended to grow toward full-time (approximately 40 hours/week) over time, contingent on client demand, performance, and mutual fit. • Candidates must be able and willing to increase availability, including maintaining consistent weekly hours and expanding client-facing time. • Flexibility required, with at least two evenings per week of client availability. Qualifications • Master’s degree in education, psychology, counseling, social work, speech-language pathology, coaching, or a closely related field required. • Prior experience supporting children, adolescents, college students, or adults with social communication or social learning challenges. • Strong understanding of social cognition, social-emotional learning, and relationship development. • Minimum 3 years experience required • Training in evidence-based social learning approaches such as PEERS®, Social Thinking®, cognitive behavioral approaches, or related methodologies required. • Ability to balance empathy and warmth with direct, constructive feedback and coaching accountability. • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients, families, and professionals. • Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines with consistency. • Comfort with technology and virtual coaching platforms. • Experience with documentation and digital record-keeping systems. Work Environment • Remote position • Reports to the Director of Social Learning Services. • Collaborative, supportive team environment with a strong emphasis on professional growth.
