The Role: Senior Product Analyst Manager
We're seeking an experienced and driven Senior Product Analyst Manager to join our Analytics team on a part-time basis. In this role, you'll serve as the quantitative expert for cross-functional partners across Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing. You'll be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive product improvements and business strategies.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves to dig into data, uncover patterns, and present findings in compelling ways. You'll work closely with stakeholders to answer complex questions, evaluate product performance, and recommend data-backed solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Insights: Conduct deep-dive analyses using advanced analytical tools and techniques (SQL, Python, R) to solve product and business challenges. You'll transform complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations that influence product roadmaps and strategic decisions.
- End-to-End Ownership: Lead projects from problem definition through execution, including metric development, data extraction, statistical modeling, visualization, and stakeholder presentation. You'll own the entire analytical lifecycle and ensure insights translate into measurable outcomes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Product Management, and Design teams to identify opportunities, evaluate experiments, and drive product improvements. You'll act as the analytical bridge between technical and business teams.
- Strategic Problem-Solving: Tackle ambiguous or novel challenges by leveraging existing systems and collaborating with team members to break down complex problems into manageable workstreams. You'll develop innovative approaches to address evolving business needs.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and direction to team members, driving results through influence and collaboration. You'll help develop analytical capabilities across the organization and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Oversee cross-functional project timelines, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices. You'll define operational goals and objectives that align with broader team and company objectives.
Essential Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Information Science, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a team lead role within a technical analytical position. You should have a proven track record of leading data-driven projects and mentoring junior analysts.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis, data manipulation, and visualization. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL is essential for this role.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. You should be comfortable translating data into compelling narratives.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to approach ambiguous problems methodically and develop creative solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative field is a plus.
- Experience working in fast-paced technology or product development environments.
- Strong background in A/B testing, experimentation design, and statistical modeling.
- Familiarity with product analytics tools and platforms.
