Safety Research Contributor (EHS / Industrial Hygiene)

I’m currently building out a small research initiative through the Arnow Institute of Safety Science and am looking to bring on Safety Research Contributors to support ongoing projects. Our firm believes that safety is not #1, but a core value that must work with other teams to meet the needs of today's world. Safety teams gives the tools to succeed, and so will we. This role is ideal for someone interested in applying safety knowledge in a practical way while gaining experience in research, writing, and real-world problem solving. Responsibilities: • Conduct research on OSHA standards, exposure limits, and EHS best practices • Assist in developing written content, guidance documents, and technical summaries • Support projects focused on improving workplace safety programs • Collaborate on ideas that bridge regulatory requirements with field application Preferred Background: • Early or mid-career EHS professionals or students in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field • Familiarity with OSHA regulations, TCEQ and critical life safety programs • Strong writing and communication skills • Self-motivated and able to work independently Compensation: Flexible based on experience and scope. • Project-based pay • Research collaboration with recognition in published work Why join us: • Be part of a growing safety research initiative focused on producing practical, experience-driven insights • Contribute to work that is published internally and shared with industry journals and external publications • Develop and write on safety topics that align with your interests and professional goals • Gain recognition for your work through credited publications across journals, industry outlets, and digital platforms Legal & Administrative Notes: • This role may be structured as an independent contractor or research collaboration, depending on experience and engagement • Any work products, research, or materials developed as part of this role will be considered the intellectual property of the Arnow Institute of Safety Science unless otherwise agreed upon in writing • A simple written agreement outlining scope, expectations, and confidentiality may be required prior to starting • This opportunity is not intended to create an employer-employee relationship unless explicitly stated This is a flexible, remote opportunity.
