- Supervise and monitor the use of Risograph printers and related studio equipment during open lab hours and class sessions.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Risograph machines, scanners, and finishing equipment.
- Assist students and faculty with printing and machine setup.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized studio environment, including regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment and supplies.
- Track inventory and manage studio supplies, including ink, masters, and paper stock; communicate with staff to request reorders as needed.
- Enforce lab policies and safety protocols, and help educate users on best practices and proper use of equipment.
- Support faculty during classes by preparing materials, demonstrating equipment use, and assisting with student questions or technical issues.
- With the Director, support the RisoLAB social media accounts and generate content that promotes student work, activities, and events from the lab.
- Collaborate with the department team to improve lab operations and support special projects or events as needed, including printing promotional posters for the RisoLAB.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Printmaking, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Previous experience working with Risograph printing, traditional printmaking, and/or offset or digital press operations is required.
- Proficiency in using Adobe Creative Suite or other design software to prepare files for the Risograph process.
- Experience and knowledge of zine culture, small press activity, or small-scale independent art publishing and art-related print media.
- Experience working with students in techniques that combine technical and creative skills.
- Experience working in a Riso printing studio.
- Basic proficiency with hand tools for minor adjustments and repairs of equipment and facilities (e.g., drilling, mounting, basic maintenance).

- This on-site position requires in-person attendance at our designated work location. Remote work is not permitted for this position.
- Variable Hours: RisoLAB's operational hours are typically 10 am – 10 pm, and may vary depending on the academic schedule.
- This position requires evening shifts (up to 10:30 pm) and weekend hours; additional hours may be assigned based on the lab schedule.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Frequent use of hands for printing tasks and equipment operation.
- Exposure to ink, toner, and other studio materials; proper protective gear and training will be provided.
