The role involves driving operational excellence and performance across the Commercial Lines organization, overseeing various teams to establish performance standards and enable sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support Commercial Account Managers, and Small Business Unit team members to achieve service excellence
- Establish clear expectations around client care, activity standards, and renewal execution
- Develop, monitor, and report on KPIs across sales and service operations
- Ensure best-in-class client service processes, responsiveness, and documentation standards
- Partner with the VP of Commercial and leadership teams to align strategy, reporting, and talent development
- Oversee and improve the new business submission and carrier placement process
- Coach and develop team members through regular communication, one-on-ones, and performance feedback
- Foster a culture of integrity, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the Commercial organization
Skills
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (required)
- 7+ years of experience in commercial insurance operations and account management leadership
- Proven success leading account management teams in high-performing environments
- Strong understanding of commercial service workflows and renewal processes
- Experience with Applied Epic and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills—with the ability to hold teams accountable
- Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings, training, and business needs
