The Social Media Specialist will enhance the organization's social media presence, engaging the community and promoting coral conservation efforts.
Responsibilities
- Execute and continuously improve the social media strategy; ideate and publish content across all social channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc)
- Grow followers and engagement across social media to bring more people into the movement
- Handle community management across all platforms, monitoring conversations and engaging authentically with the community
- Proactively stay up to date with social media trends, algorithm changes, and industry best practices — and identify quick-turnaround opportunities
- Collaborate with the creative team to ensure cohesive execution of content
- Ensure all social media content is aligned with brand guidelines and visual identity
- Champion Coral Gardeners' tone of voice and craft engaging copy for social media content
- Develop performance reports with recommendations to optimize content and strategy, and share insights with the CCO

- Excellent communication and copywriting skills in English
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and analytics tools
- Fluent in French
- Knowledge of or passion for ocean conservation
