SAP is a leading company in enterprise resource planning software, and they are seeking a Senior Solution Advisor specializing in Finance. This role involves supporting the sales cycle, delivering presentations, and collaborating with teams to ensure customer success in SAP’s finance solutions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-impact sales presentations and personalized software demonstrations that articulate SAP’s value and differentiate our solutions
- Conduct discovery sessions with prospective customers to understand their unique needs and tailor presentations accordingly
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of SAP solutions and relevant industries, backed by customer success stories
- Lead complex deals as a Solution Captain, coordinating multiple solution advisory contributors
- Support RFx responses and provide limited post-sale guidance to ensure smooth transitions
- Present effectively in both in-person and virtual formats (e.g., TEAMS, Zoom)
- Leverage internal support teams (ie. Expert Solution Advisors, Hubs, Product Management) to maximize sales cycle success
- Evaluate account qualification criteria to determine further investment in pursuing opportunities
- Collaborate with the team in creating overall themes and competitive differentiation
- Conduct dry runs on strategic deals and customer engagements
- Transition engagement to implementation partner/services teams effectively
- Engage with customers to continue selling the vision of SAP solutions and ensure eagerness for consumption and renewal
- Leverage digital assets throughout the customer engagement, including demos, presentations, and other content
- Support sales opportunities that require senior executive engagement to support the sales cycle
- Prepare Executive summary 'point of view' documents that align solution benefits to customer strategic goals
- Serve as the voice of the customer and sales liaison to Product Management, Product Development, and Product Strategy
- Support Account Executives/Managers and Sales Directors to efficiently drive the sales process
- Identify opportunities for expanding usage and obtain customer advocacy
- Lead and support sales and marketing events, both on-site and remote
- Facilitate Design Thinking workshops to inspire innovative customer solutions
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify whitespace opportunities and expand SAP’s footprint
- Build strong relationships with sales teams to promote effective methodologies
- Participate in demo system planning, configuration, and testing of new product releases
- Serve as a knowledge champion within Hubs, sharing insights and mentoring peers
- Conduct internal enablement for sales teams on SAP Finance Solutions
- Create powerful visual presentations and winning proposals
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in an accounting or related finance role with an emphasis on consolidations
- Deep knowledge of accounting standards and how they are applied including, but not limited to, US GAAP and IFRS
- Controlling and financial consolidations leadership experience within a large, multi-national organization
- Hands-on experience with SAP Business Suite – Financial Management, and business processes
- Must be an expert on SAP S4 HANA Finance
- Proven record of developing, executing, reviewing, and distributing common Financial Statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow Statement) within your organization and externally
- Professional experience with large, multi-national organizations
- Experience with SAP Finance and Consolidation products as well as competitive platforms is a must
- Viewed as solutions expert across SAP and/or partner communities with a strong network
- Strong understanding of Cloud, SaaS, PaaS, and hosted services in B2B environments
- Familiarity with SAP Cloud Suite Portfolio, RISE and GROW with SAP, and SAP Corporate Strategy
- Real-world knowledge of common Finance and Accounting practices, specifically in relation to Consolidation
- Experience adopting and extending technology and processes within a Finance team
- Ability to collaborate and communicate between system experts, IT resources, and end-users in relation to SaaS ERP and other Saas solutions
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and technology innovation trends
- Demonstrates a proactive mindset and genuine enthusiasm for continuous learning in evolving technologies
- Exceptional presentation and written communication skills
