Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Mainz Brady Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support a critical healthcare data integration initiative. This role involves designing and implementing scalable data models, pipelines, and transformations while collaborating with various teams to achieve project milestones.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data pipelines and data models
- Develop advanced SQL using CTEs, complex joins, analytic functions, and windowing functions
- Build and optimize DBT models, macros, packages, and reusable components
- Troubleshoot Snowflake performance issues and production data problems
- Support data profiling, validation, data quality frameworks, and testing strategies
- Partner with Product and QA to refine requirements and validate outcomes
- Participate in code reviews and help drive long-term technical solutions
Skills
- Expert-level SQL experience
- Strong understanding of CTEs, complex joins, analytic/windowing functions
- Python experience required; intermediate or higher preferred
- Hands-on Snowflake experience preferred
- Strong data profiling skills, including keys, cardinality, data types, precision, scale, and skew
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Python experience preferred
- Hands-on Snowflake experience preferred
- DBT experience preferred
- Healthcare or payer experience
- Data modeling experience
- CI/CD experience for DBT deployments
