[Remote] Senior Accountant (CPA Preferred) – Workday Financials

TalentFish is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to take hands-on ownership of critical accounting functions within a Workday Financials environment. The role requires strong accounting skills and the ability to manage month-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting independently. Responsibilities • Execute and support the complete month-end close process • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations • Generate financial reports and perform accounting analysis within Workday • Research accounting guidance and recommend appropriate accounting treatment • Support annual audits, budgeting activities, and tax-related requirements • Review work completed by other accounting team members • Serve as an internal accounting consultant on special projects and initiatives • Communicate financial results and accounting processes effectively with leadership • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders Skills • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with 4+ years of accounting experience, or Master's Degree with 2+ years of experience • CPA strongly preferred • Deep, hands-on experience with Workday Financials • Strong knowledge of General Ledger (GL) • Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) • Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) • Strong knowledge of Cash Management • Strong knowledge of Fixed Assets • Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting • Proven ownership of month-end close processes • Extensive balance sheet reconciliation experience • Strong understanding of accrual accounting • Strong understanding of journal entries • Strong understanding of financial reporting • Strong understanding of accounting controls • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Workday implementation or AP experience is highly desirable • Epic experience is a plus Benefits • Eligible consultants may qualify for benefits including medical coverage, 401(k), and paid time off, subject to plan eligibility requirements.
