Burjline Builders is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Remote Accounting Support Specialist to assist with daily accounting operations and financial recordkeeping. In this work-from-home role, you will support the accounting team by processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Record and maintain accurate financial data in accounting systems
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts
- Prepare invoices, expense reports, and payment documentation
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Verify financial records for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized electronic financial files and documentation
- Generate financial reports and spreadsheets for management
- Respond to internal accounting inquiries and provide administrative support
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and data security procedures
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home workspace
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or administrative support
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or Sage
