Why This Role Matters
Our Manufacturing Operations team is the engine that turns visionary product designs into tangible, market‑ready hardware. As a Remote Product Engineer, you will bridge the gap between design intent and production reality, ensuring that every component, from silicon to enclosure, meets the rigorous quality, reliability, and performance standards that define careerzynith’s brand. This role is pivotal for maintaining the seamless operation of our data centers, server farms, and emerging hardware platforms that underpin the digital experiences of millions of users.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross‑functional reviews of product designs and manufacturing processes to drive Design for Excellence (DFX) and robust test methodologies.
- Ensure plant readiness and support manufacturing line ramp‑up by providing detailed product analysis, troubleshooting guidance, and actionable feedback on design issues.
- Own the bone‑pile (yield) analysis, driving yield improvement initiatives that enhance product quality and reduce cost of ownership.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Team to identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and create comprehensive moderation plans.
- Partner with Quality Engineers to define product quality and reliability targets, approve performance specifications, and validate reliability test results.
- Coordinate the introduction of New Product Introduction (NPI) Bill of Materials (BOM) into the Product Data Management (PDM) system, ensuring accurate data flow and traceability.
- Support secondary source part qualification and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs) to maintain supply chain continuity.
- Travel up to five days per month to our Guadalajara, MX manufacturing hub to work hands‑on with suppliers, conduct on‑site audits, and provide remote support for pre‑production builds.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for complex electronic assemblies, including ASIC, FPGA, and GPU modules, ensuring compliance with post‑silicon validation requirements.
- Utilize SQL, Python, and scripting tools to analyze test data, generate reports, and drive data‑informed decision making across the product lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supply‑chain or manufacturing environment focused on assembly and testing of high‑performance hardware.
- Hands‑on experience working with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), Contract Manufacturers (CMs), and component suppliers for server‑class products.
- Proven ability to develop and execute test plans for complex electronic systems, including ASIC DFT (Design for Test) and Automated Test Equipment (ATE) processes.
- Strong understanding of post‑silicon validation, reliability testing, and yield analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in SQL queries and scripting languages such as Python or Shell for data manipulation and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to cross‑functional teams and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GPU, FPGA, or ASIC product families, particularly in data‑center or cloud‑infrastructure contexts.
- Familiarity with Design for Test (DFT) methodologies and experience driving DFX initiatives.
- Exposure to hardware reliability standards such as IEC 61709, MIL‑STD‑810, or similar.
- Prior involvement in New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, including BOM management and ECO/MCO processes.
- Demonstrated project leadership, with a track record of delivering complex hardware projects on schedule and within budget.
