Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Aksia is an alternative assets specialist, providing investment solutions for institutional investors globally. They are seeking an experienced professional to develop and manage key institutional relationships within the Canadian markets, focusing on delivering multi-asset class solutions across alternatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead business development and relationship management with institutional investors, family offices, OCIO, and private wealth platforms within the Canadian market
- Develop and execute a regional growth strategy targeting new LP relationships and deepening existing ones
- Serve as the primary interface with prospective clients, crafting and delivering presentations, proposals, and strategic insights
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across research, investment, operations, and client advisory teams to deliver seamless and insightful client experiences
- Stay abreast of evolving market trends, fund strategies, and client needs to position Aksia’s offerings competitively and credibly
Skills
- 8–12+ years of experience in investor relations, business development, or institutional sales with a focus on alternative investments
- Deep knowledge of and exposure to one or more alternative strategies: private equity, private credit, hedge funds, real assets, or real estate
- Demonstrated success cultivating LP relationships across the Canadian institutional and/or private wealth channels
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple complex client engagements and internal workstreams
- High degree of initiative, integrity, and commercial acumen
- Effective writing and communication skills in English and a regional language is a plus
