L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IT Business Analyst, Trade Compliance Systems Analyst to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in analyzing, designing, and implementing IT solutions that support global trade operations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with global trade teams, IT teams, and external partners to gather and document business requirements
- Analyze current processes and systems to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
- Design IT solutions to support global trade operations, including customs compliance, import/export processes, and trade finance
- Ensure solutions align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Assist in the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects related to global trade
- Work closely with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear communication and alignment
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions to gather input and validate solutions
- Ensure IT solutions comply with international trade regulations and standards
- Identify potential risks and work with teams to develop mitigation strategies
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure IT solutions meet business requirements and quality standards
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve issues as needed
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions
- Create detailed documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and user guides
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management on project status, risks, and issues
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in IT business analysis
- Hands-on experience supporting global trade operations within an IT context
- Experience working with ERP systems and global trade management software
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies
- Familiarity with global trade systems such as Descartes OCR EASE or similar platforms
- Knowledge of data analysis, reporting tools, and process modeling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Understanding of international trade regulations, customs compliance, and import/export processes
- PMP, CBAP, ITIL, or other relevant certifications are a plus
- Familiarity with trade finance, supply chain operations, and logistics processes
- Experience with data integration, APIs, and system interfaces
- Knowledge of automation tools and technologies
