Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a HR Consultant to join our client to support day to day human resources operations and strengthen employee relations across a growing non union workforce. This role focuses on partnering with leadership to address workplace concerns, guide performance management, and ensure consistent compliance with employment regulations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee concerns, performance management, and workplace conflict resolution while fostering a positive work environment
- Lead employee investigations, provide fair recommendations, and support appropriate disciplinary actions and documentation
- Partner with management to improve workforce planning, scheduling alignment, and overall team efficiency
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and collaborate with legal or compliance partners on more complex situations
- Review current human resources policies and procedures, identify gaps, and recommend practical process improvements
Skills
- Proven experience in human resources with a strong focus on employee relations and workplace investigations
- Solid understanding of federal, state, and local employment regulations with the ability to apply them in real world scenarios
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and influence leadership effectively
- Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and sound judgment
- Experience supporting process improvement initiatives and organizational change efforts
