[Remote] Head of Finance Shared Services

Madison-Davis, LLC is a financial technology platform seeking a senior accounting operations leader to oversee finance shared services and general ledger ownership. The role involves leading a multi-level accounting team, managing close and reporting processes, and driving process improvements and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities
• Oversee general ledger ownership, journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting operations
• Manage a multi-level accounting team, including leaders who manage teams underneath them
• Support GAAP-compliant reporting, audit requests, controls, and internal accounting policies
• Drive process improvement, automation, ERP initiatives, and scalable accounting operations

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• CPA required
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong General Ledger, month-end close, journal entry, and accounting operations experience
• Proven people leadership experience, including managing managers
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, audit processes, and controls
• Oracle experience preferred
• Financial services or technology industry experience preferred, but not required
