CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Florida Water Wastewater Business Development Leader to join our Water Team in Florida and expand our impact across municipal, utility, industrial, and regulatory markets. This role involves guiding market strategy, growing client partnerships, and supporting the delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure programs.
Responsibilities
- Drive growth across key water and wastewater markets by cultivating long‑term client relationships, strategic programs, and repeat business
- Shape and execute market‑focused growth strategies aligned with firmwide objectives and water/wastewater sector priorities
- Lead pursuit strategy for complex, high‑profile programs—guiding positioning, proposals, and client engagement from qualification through contract award
- Serve as a trusted technical and strategic advisor to municipal, utility, industrial, and public‑sector clients
- Identify emerging regulatory drivers, funding sources, and industry trends influencing water and wastewater investment
- Elevate CHA’s market presence through industry leadership, client advocacy, and strategic collaboration across service lines
- Build, manage, and continuously update a qualified sales pipeline to support annual revenue and backlog targets
- Drive go/no-go decisions based on opportunity risk, client alignment, and strategic priorities
- Cultivate early client engagement and pre-positioning activities to shape opportunities prior to formal procurement
- Develop and execute pursuit strategies from early positioning through contract award
- Oversee proposal development, ensuring alignment with capture strategies, client needs, and differentiators
- Partner with talented project teams to deliver transformative water and wastewater solutions
- Build enduring client relationships rooted in trust, technical excellence, and shared success
- Influence long term market direction while mentoring rising leaders within a collaborative, growth-oriented culture
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or a related Engineering discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Minimum of 10 years of business development experience in the water and wastewater market
- Proven success driving business development, securing major pursuits, and sustaining long‑term client relationships
- Ability to guide client discussions in water/wastewater treatment, distribution, collection, and supporting infrastructure systems
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills with clients and internal stakeholders
- Experience partnering with municipal utilities, public agencies, industrial clients, or regulated environments
- Master's degree
- Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE)
