Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Vector Talent is a specialist small molecule CDMO seeking an individual-contributor Business Development Director. The role focuses on prospecting and winning new early-phase development business across the US East Coast, requiring a proven track record in CDMO business development.
Responsibilities
- Personally prospect, qualify and win new early-phase small molecule programmes across drug substance and drug product
- Build and own a territory pipeline across the East Coast, taking relationships from first enquiry through to signed programmes and repeat business
- Translate a development-led CDMO proposition to biotech and pharma R&D and CMC buyers, and work alongside the scientific teams to scope complex formulation challenges
Skills
- A proven CDMO business development record with a genuine hunter track record
- Real technical fluency in small molecule CDMO development-stage work: formulation development, bioavailability enhancement, HPAPI, oral solid and injectable formulation, and the early-phase clinical journey
- The ability to sell science and partnership rather than capacity
- Comfort prospecting and closing with early-stage biotech and pharma sponsors
- An established East Coast network is a strong plus
