Position Overview
We're looking for a Data Analyst who will be an excellent addition to our Advanced Analysis and Content team. As a Data Analyst on our content strategy team, you will apply scientific rigor and analytical excellence to improve our content portfolio, marketing initiatives, and release strategies. You'll be working with massive datasets containing viewer behavior patterns, content performance metrics, and market trends to derive actionable insights that drive business decisions.

What You'll Do
As a Data Analyst at arenaflex, your responsibilities will span multiple dimensions of our content and viewer analytics ecosystem:
- Advanced Analytics Implementation: Apply advanced analytical techniques including data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, and machine learning on large-scale, high-dimensional datasets to drive strategic business decisions and inform content strategy.
- Viewer Behavior Analysis: Analyze comprehensive viewer behavior data including content type preferences, viewing patterns, watch time metrics, and engagement indicators to identify unmet customer needs and untapped content opportunities within our library.
- Content Engagement Forecasting: Develop predictive models to forecast content engagement levels, helping to guide acquisition decisions and optimize our content investment portfolio across original productions and licensed titles.
- Release Strategy Optimization: Streamline our content launch and episode release methodologies by analyzing optimal release times, marketing campaign effectiveness, and viewer response patterns to maximize reach and engagement.
- Marketing Campaign Testing: Design and execute A/B tests and multivariate analyses on marketing strategies to enhance viewer engagement, improve customer retention, and optimize acquisition funnels across various demographic segments.
- Metrics Innovation: Ideate and develop new measurements and key performance indicators (KPIs) that accurately gauge content performance for both tactical operational decisions and long-term strategic planning initiatives.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis Support: Provide spontaneous analytical support to cross-functional partners including Marketing, Content Acquisition, Product, and Executive teams to help drive business advancement and answer critical questions.
- Data Storytelling: Effectively communicate significant findings through compelling data storytelling across the organization, translating complex analytical results into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels.

Essential Qualifications

- Professional Experience: Minimum 2 years of data analysis experience in a professional setting, preferably within media, entertainment, streaming, or technology sectors.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction and manipulation, combined with hands-on experience in statistical programming languages such as R or Python.
- Statistical & ML Expertise: Demonstrated experience applying statistical analysis and machine learning techniques including decision trees, regression analysis, clustering, classification, and other predictive modeling approaches.
- Independent Problem-Solving: Proven ability to work independently and apply creativity in solving ambiguous, open-ended problems while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
