JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network dedicated to improving access to STEM education for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey. The Community Engagement Business Development role involves leadership and planning to engage with middle schools, manage outreach efforts, and collaborate with a team to enhance the organization's impact.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Data Analytics team to identify Schools of interest that could partner with JerseySTEM, amongst New Jersey 2000+ middle schools according to criteria established by the board of Directors
- Research schools, identifies stakeholders (School admins) and locate their contacts
- Assign schools to Area Managers and agree on targets/goals for the outreach
- Partner with Area managers to call on schools identified as targets
- Participate in the COME leadership team activities
- Conduct/Attend virtual team meetings weekly
- 4-6 Hours a week, 6 month minimum
Skills
- Genuine concern about/interest in solving the STEM education gender gap
- Interest and familiarity with Data and data based decision making
- Interest and/or familiarity with K-12 school data
- Strong Analytical skills
- Resourceful, can-do attitude
- Comfort working in a ‘virtual organization' with digital tools (G-Suite, Slack, Jira, salesforce)
- Would be a plus if candidate has flexible schedule to allow for day time calls with the school admins during the work week
