About the Role
This is a fully remote opportunity, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere while being part of a dynamic team that's shaping the future of healthcare. As a Remote Call Center Representative - Walgreens Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of patient data entry, resolving third-party rejects, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize Walgreens's prescription data entry methodology and guidelines to process new patient enrollments by entering data into the appropriate system.
- Handle patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
- Research and obtain missing prescription data, and interpret clinical abbreviations (SIG codes).
- Resolve all data entry-related exceptions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Handle inbound calls, visits, and messages from patients, and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed.
- Resolve third-party rejects by assessing, gathering information, creating claims, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
- Provide support to pharmacists, both in-office and in other locations, and identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as necessary.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic level PC skills, including the ability to start and shut down a computer, use a mouse, and access data online.
- Basic web browser skills, including the ability to open a browser, type URLs, and complete online forms.
- Intermediate level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, and organizing documents).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Being at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, having the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge:
- At least 1 year of pharmacy professional experience in a retail or call center environment.
- A minimum of 1.5 years as a pharmacy professional with a certification/registration by the state as granted by the State Board for Pharmacies or a widely recognized certification agency.
- Experience providing customer care to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and assessing customer satisfaction.
- Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, and organizing documents).
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
