About the position
In this role, you will work as a business analyst for FedEx business domains, analyzing business and operational data to identify out-of-the-box opportunities, develop actionable insights, and make recommendations to management via understanding of the business model and information available for analysis. You will play a vital role in defining and advancing the organization's strategies and initiatives to deliver value. You will use data, statistical and quantitative analysis, basic modeling, and fact-based management to drive decision-making. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to present facts to senior leadership that inform strategic initiatives within the business domain.
Responsibilities
• Lead and drive the design and implementation of data/text mining and analysis processes at an enterprise level.
• Develop and apply statistical analysis techniques to complex, structured, and unstructured data from various sources.
• Utilize and promote the use of current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop strategic insights.
• Serve as a strategic consultant to executive leadership, routinely presenting data-driven facts through executive-level presentations that shape business decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement in data analysis methods and processes.
• Mentor junior analysts and lead efforts to advance the organization’s data-driven strategies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Exceptional analytical skills: comfort in defining and implementing metrics to measure impact.
• Expert knowledge of analytics software, tools, and statistical analysis techniques.
• Excellent ability to shape insights from data and present them effectively through executive communications.
• Strong executive presence, human relations, networking, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics, or finance.
• Eight (8) years of work experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem-solving, operations analysis, marketing analysis, simulation development, and/or predictive analytics.
