The Project Coordinator will support the delivery of client-facing and internal projects, focusing on system implementations and project improvement initiatives while ensuring projects remain organized and documented.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning and coordination of client and internal projects
- Maintain project plans, schedules, and task trackers
- Monitor task progress and follow up with team members to maintain accountability
- Identify potential delays or risks and escalate them appropriately
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation across systems
- Deliver weekly status updates summarizing project progress and priorities
- Attend internal and client-facing meetings alongside the Project Manager
- Prepare meeting agendas when needed
- Capture detailed meeting notes and document action items
- Track follow-ups, owners, and deadlines
- Support internal communications and reporting processes
- Prepare post-meeting summaries and distribute updates to project team and/or stakeholders
- Maintain project records within company systems
- Support improvements to project management tools and workflows
- Assist with standardizing documentation templates and reporting formats
- Contribute to refining project delivery practices across the firm
Skills
- Foundational knowledge of project management principles and terminology
- Post-secondary education or certificate in Project Management from an accredited university and/or college recognized by the Project Management Institute
- Experience using project management tools such as Zoho Projects, Asana, Monday.com, Trello, Jira, or similar platforms
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Excellent documentation and note-taking abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated professional verbal and written communication skills
- Experience supporting ERP system implementation or operational projects
- Familiarity with structured project methodologies such as Predictive, Agile, or Hybrid approaches
- Familiarity with accounting terminology
- CAPM certification or membership with the Project Management Institute (PMI)
