What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
• Schedule patients while focusing on patient safety and minimizing healthcare errors
• Create Epic orders and referrals for radiology exams, ensuring accurate patient registration and demographics
• Participate in process improvement projects to enhance workflow efficiency and increase throughput of Epic work queue orders
• Act as a subject matter expert for scheduling modalities, troubleshooting Epic errors, and assisting with training new staff
• Analyze patient follow-up reports to reduce revenue loss and ensure departmental financial stability
What Is Required (Qualifications)
• High school graduation or equivalent
• A minimum of two years of experience as a Patient Services Specialist 2
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
• Strong ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop good working relationships
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
• Experience with Epic systems and scheduling modalities
• Familiarity with healthcare processes and medical terminology
• Demonstrated ability to lead or facilitate process improvement initiatives
• Knowledge of coding (CPT and ICD-10) related to radiology services
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
