Market Development Representative 1

Red Hat is the world’s leading provider of enterprise open source software solutions, and they are seeking a Market Development Representative 1 to generate new pipeline opportunities. The role involves qualifying leads, collaborating with marketing and sales teams, and adhering to established processes to ensure efficient follow-up activities.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on inbound marketing-generated leads to uncover customer challenges, qualify opportunities and set up Qualified Meetings with Account teams
• Collaborate with Marketing and Sales on routine campaigns to leverage relevant content to follow up on marketing inbound leads
• Implement prescribed prospecting techniques to generate interest in prospective customers
• Develop a basic understanding of Red Hat's technology and product portfolio
• Utilize all systems and tools (Salesforce, Outreach, 6Sense, etc.) to maintain accurate records of activities related to outreach on leads and contacts
• Follow established processes and adhere to published SLAs for all tasks

Skills

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, management, information systems, marketing, communications, or related field of study work experience or academic projects in sales, marketing, or information systems
• Public speaking and presentation skills
• Knowledge of sales techniques and systems like Salesforce.com (SFDC) or Outreach
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Excellent communication, problem solving, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude
• Demonstrated success in previous roles
• Desire to make a positive impact on Red Hat's strategic mission
• Curiosity to learn and grow
• Ability to work and learn on your own, as well as on a team
• Ability to understand customer issues and needs and link them to Red Hat's offerings
