Vitas Wellness Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor for a full-time remote role based in Kent, Washington. Work Environment
While the primary setting for your work will be remote, our outpatient office in Kent, WA serves as a supportive hub for collaboration and resources. You will have access to a network of fellow mental health professionals, enabling you to share insights, and best practices, and refine your therapeutic techniques. The environment emphasizes confidentiality, and comfort, and promotes the well-being of both our clients and therapists.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct detailed assessments and evaluations to identify clients' mental health concerns and develop tailored treatment plans that align with their unique needs.
• Provide individual therapy sessions utilizing a variety of evidence-based techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and interpersonal therapy.
• Work collaboratively with clients to set therapeutic goals and monitor their progress throughout the treatment process, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes.
• Offer teletherapy options, allowing clients to engage in sessions through secure virtual platforms, ensuring accessibility and convenience.
• Keep accurate and timely documentation that meets ethical and regulatory standards, maintaining the integrity of the therapeutic process.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities, including workshops, training, and peer supervision sessions, to stay current on industry trends and enhance clinical skills.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work with a diverse clientele, serving individuals from various backgrounds and age groups who face a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and adjustment disorders. Our approach is holistic and client-centered, emphasizing the importance of building a strong therapeutic alliance to facilitate healing.
Qualifications
• A current and valid license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of a safe and trusting therapeutic environment for clients.
• Demonstrated empathy and compassion, with a non-judgmental attitude to support clients in navigating their mental health journeys.
• Strong organizational skills and effective time management abilities to handle a varied caseload while fulfilling administrative responsibilities.
Preferred Experience
• Experience in outpatient mental health settings, particularly in providing therapy to adults, children, or families dealing with complex issues.
• Familiarity with teletherapy technologies and platforms, ensuring efficient and secure remote service delivery.
• Participation in multidisciplinary teams and experience in collaborative care environments are highly valued.
Compensation and Benefits
• Competitive annual salary in the range of USD 80,000 – 100,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
