Job Description:
• support the respective Project Director in planning and executing contracts for the design and construction of new nuclear power plants
• manage the quality, cost, and schedule of the execution process
• assist Project Director in organizing project cost structure in Oracle ERP
• participate in customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings
• support the Project Director with preparation & coordination of customer, internal, and/or supplier kickoff meetings
• develop and maintain a project roster including assigning and monitoring timely completion of project related training activities
• support the development & issuance of the Project Management Plan & related project plans and project procedures
• ensure compliance with U. S. government requirements as applicable
• support coordination of project activities; monitor and control progress on project deliverables
• organize and archive project correspondence and records consistent with Project Configuration Management Plan
• lead, draft, and issue project management meeting notes, action item lists, and project progress reports
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
• minimum of 2 years managing projects (nuclear preferred but any energy or other large scale projects)
• demonstrated organizational skills, particularly when related to project execution
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or STEM
• fundamental-level financial or accounting knowledge
• experience or familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designs
• knowledge of the power industry, customer, and competitive environment
• demonstrated ability supporting project budget, schedule, and quality objectives
• financial control knowledge and understanding
• demonstrated ability to take initiative and to work independently
• extreme attention to detail, follow up, highly organized
• demonstrated ability to balance workload under short deadlines and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
• exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
