Insurance Agent / Customer Service — Remote Insure Coastal is hiring a licensed insurance professional to assist with customer service, quoting, renewals, reshopping, underwriting research, documentation, and daily agency support. This is a full-time remote position working directly with the owner/agent. The role is service-focused, but some sales support, quote follow-up, and cross-sell awareness will be required. Job Details · Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern Time · Hours: 40 paid hours per week · Location: Remote — Florida or South Carolina residents only · Job Type: Full-time, hourly, non-exempt · License Required: Yes, prior to hire · Quality Assurance: Client calls, screen activity, and system activity may be recorded or monitored for training, quality assurance, compliance, and performance purposes, as permitted by law. Employees will be required to acknowledge applicable monitoring policies. Responsibilities · Assist clients with service requests, billing and payment questions, ID cards, policy documents, and general account needs · Prepare accurate personal lines quotes with minimal rework · Review renewals, process renewals, and assist with reshopping · Research carrier underwriting guidelines and eligibility requirements · Communicate professionally with clients and carriers by phone, email, and text · Use EZLynx CRM software to document client interactions · Follow SOPs, checklists, workflows, and training videos · Support quote follow-up and limited sales-related activity Lines of Business Candidates will be expected to learn the agency’s products, carriers, underwriting guidelines, quoting requirements, and service procedures. For more information about the carriers and products we offer, visit InsureCoastal.net Requirements · Must reside in Florida or South Carolina · Active Florida 2-20 General Lines license, or appropriate South Carolina Property & Casualty / Personal Lines license (or willing to obtain prior to hiring) · Strong attention to detail · Professional communication skills · Ability to work independently in a remote environment · Strong computer skills · Ability to type while speaking with clients · Ability to use keyboard shortcuts and hot keys efficiently · Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Word, Excel, and OneNote · Ability to learn EZLynx CRM software and carrier portals · Ability to follow SOPs and training videos · Ability to research underwriting guidelines before answering client questions · Must have Reliable high-speed internet · Quiet, professional workspace during scheduled hours Preferred Experience — Not Required · 2–5+ years of property and casualty insurance experience · Independent agency experience · Personal lines quoting, renewal, and reshopping experience · EZLynx CRM software experience · Experience with carriers such as Progressive, GEICO, Security First, People’s Trust, Universal Property & Casualty, Edison, and similar carriers Candidates with less experience may be considered if they are licensed, detail-oriented, coachable, professional, computer-savvy, and eager to learn.
