
As a Field Service Engineer, you will maximize the profitability of our service business by providing a professional tools engineering service as part of the central service team. In addition to support from initial order through to final delivery, installation and commissioning of equipment ensuring that they are executed in the most efficient manner and stay within Atlas Copco’s contractual obligations.
What your day will look like:
Provide full and professional tools service both in our workshop and at customers premises.
Act as a first contact point for all installation of Atlas Copco tooling solutions and externally sourced equipment i.e. metalwork, arms, posts
Undertake installation and problem solving on all network installations
Diagnose problematic and inefficient performance of all Atlas Copco power tools products and take appropriate action to rectify performance.
Work on integration of customer PLC interfaces to Atlas Copco tooling.
Identify customer opportunities for Toolsnet and controller upgrades.
Carry out calibration, testing and certification of all Atlas Copco power tool products, according to standard procedures
Ensure calibration certificates are uploaded to relevant jobs.
Carry out preventative maintenance on relevant tooling following designated maintenance schedules.
Carry out pre delivery testing and inspection of tools as appropriate prior to delivery / site installation
Undertake ad-hoc tasks/projects when required working at customer premises or in our service workshop.
Take ownership of the customer’s problem and with the support of the Service Team see the problem through to its conclusion.
Ensure job administration tasks are completed. Tools and hours booked and shift reports completed.
Maintain existing and develop new business through the promotion and sale of service products.
Support Atlas Copco’s Sales and Service Sales activities by developing and maintaining key customer relationships.
This is a field-based role, covering UK-wide. You will be remote with an agreed territory. Occasional overnight stays and overtime will be required following business requirements.
