Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed veterinarian to join our team as a remote telemedicine specialist. This part-time position offers the flexibility to work from home and provides an immediate start for the right candidate. As a telemedicine specialist, you will be responsible for providing professional services to patients via our secure telemedicine platform, using your expertise to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions. Key Responsibilities
• Provide professional services to patients via our secure telemedicine platform, using your expertise to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.
• Evaluate each patient's relevant medical data, medical history, and treatment concerns, and use a secure portal to communicate with each patient to establish the veterinarian-client-patient relationship.
• Use your professional medical judgment to determine in each instance whether it is medically appropriate to issue a prescription for a patient.
• Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
• Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, consistent with all established laws and regulations governing patient healthcare records.
• Adhere to accepted standards of practice, including obtaining informed consent and using telemedicine services in a responsible and ethical manner.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 3 years of post-graduate work experience as a licensed veterinarian.
• A valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Texas.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex medical concepts in simple language.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Excellent grammar and writing skills, with the ability to create clear and concise patient-focused communications.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
