About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers to arenaflex and provide friendly and professional customer service, ensuring that every interaction is positive and memorable
- Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise, including tool rentals, and provide expert advice and guidance on product selection and usage
- Down stock merchandise by identifying empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies, ensuring that our stores are always fully stocked and ready for customers
- Process orders and deliveries accurately, ensuring that customers receive their merchandise as expected and on time
- Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service and support the growth of our business
- Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs, including preparing tool rentals for customers and ensuring that all equipment is in good working order
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout, providing expert advice and guidance every step of the way
- Complete other duties as assigned, including participating in visual merchandising, maintaining store appearance, and supporting other departments as needed
Essential Qualifications
- 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Ability to minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience, preferably in a home improvement or tool rental environment
- Bi-lingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers who speak multiple languages
- Certification in a trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
