What You'll Do
As an IT Services Technician at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for supporting and maintaining our end-user computing environment. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Ticket Resolution: Resolve and close tickets and work orders supporting end-user desktops, laptops, and peripherals with efficiency and precision.
- Helpdesk Support: Respond to and address customer care issues raised from the Helpdesk, ensuring timely and professional resolution to maintain high user satisfaction.
- Desktop Projects: Contribute to desktop deployment projects, including global installations and system upgrades, serving as a reliable project team member.
- Remote Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues remotely using advanced remote support tools, minimizing downtime for end-users.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Investigate and collaborate with various departments to address and resolve complex system-related issues.
- Documentation: Record all client interactions in the incident management system, including comprehensive asset management documentation.
- Data Recovery: Retrieve data from hard disk drives and perform data migration tasks as required to protect critical business information.
- VPN and Remote Access Support: Support remote access for virtual private network connectivity and assist with remote or broadband network configuration for workstations.
- Printer Configuration: Install and configure local and network-based printers, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
- Flexibility: Work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and be available for on-call emergency response and travel as needed.
- Compliance: Follow management direction, adhering to IT policies and procedures to maintain security and operational standards.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support team objectives and organizational goals.
All You'll Need for Success
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Prior Work Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, OR equivalent work experience and training.
- Minimum of two years of hands-on, practical IT work experience supporting and resolving various desktop software and hardware issues.
- Direct experience supporting workstations in a Windows/TCPIP environment is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
Education and Prior Work Experience:
- Industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA A+ are highly desirable.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification is a significant plus.
- Previous IT infrastructure experience in aviation, airline, or airport environments is advantageous but not required.
Skills, Licenses, and Certifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of all Windows-based operating systems, including Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- Familiarity with workflow processes and asset tagging systems for inventory management.
- Strong understanding of VPN networks and the ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues effectively.
- Excellent ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Physical capability to lift at least 50 pounds as required for hardware installation and maintenance tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a customer-focused attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with users at all technical levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
