As a Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will become an integral part of our Data Science group, which combines deep data analysis and research to present a compelling vision around subscriber retention and preferences across our vast product offerings and content library. You will serve as the insights and modeling partner for content, marketing, product, and engineering teams across our streaming services. Key Responsibilities
As a Data Scientist specializing in AI and statistical modeling, you will be responsible for driving insights that power our streaming business forward. Your core responsibilities will include:
- AI & Statistical Modeling for Subscriber Analytics: Support the streaming business with AI and statistical modeling focused on understanding and predicting subscriber behavior, including churn analysis, upgrade and downgrade patterns, price responsiveness, customer segmentation, survival analysis, trial design and analysis, and causal inference.
- Innovative AI Strategy Development: Create and implement innovative AI strategies to address key business questions while identifying new areas to explore within our vast data ecosystem.
- Model Evaluation & Experimentation: Drive experimentation to evaluate the impacts of your models and ensure they deliver measurable business value.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with colleagues across the organization to identify opportunities. You will also collaborate with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, data visualization, experimentation, and data architecture.
- Executive Communication: Present your proposals and findings to senior leadership, translating complex quantitative insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Data Pipeline Optimization: Work with engineering teams to ensure data pipelines are robust, scalable, and accessible for advanced analytics.
- Storytelling with Data: Develop compelling data narratives that drive decision-making across all levels of the organization.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and demonstrate a proven track record in data science and analytics:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience designing, building, and evaluating practical AI solutions in a professional setting.
- Programming Expertise: Strong coding experience in Python and/or R, with additional experience in scientific libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, or equivalent tools.
- Machine Learning Proficiency: Proficient in analyzing data and developing ML models using Python with frameworks such as TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and similar technologies.
- Statistical Modeling Foundation: Strong background in statistical modeling, including regression, clustering, time series forecasting, causal inference, and various other statistical techniques.
- Scalable Model Development: Experience developing scalable mathematical models and solving complex quantitative problems that can be explained to non-technical stakeholders.
- Insight Generation: Ability to derive insights and conclusions from data to advise model development and business decisions.
- Collaborative Mindset: Strong desire to partner with other data scientists, data analysts, and key stakeholders across the organization.
- SQL Proficiency: Strong understanding of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Neural Network (NN) models.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and big data frameworks.
- Knowledge of the streaming media or entertainment industry.
