As a Data Engineer at blithequark, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying data-driven solutions that support business priorities and drive better health outcomes. You will work closely with data scientists and other stakeholders to identify valuable internal and external data sources and develop software programs that process, store, and serve data to meet the needs of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop software programs that process, store, and serve data to be used by others, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
- Design and develop data systems and pipelines to organize, acquire, and standardize data that facilitates generating insights and addresses reporting needs.
- Write ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) procedures, design database structures, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytic processing.
- Develop data pipelines that are scalable, repeatable, and secure, and troubleshoot software programs and procedures to ensure data quality.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring that they adhere to data quality and accessibility requirements.
- Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur, and interact with internal and external stakeholders to exchange semi-complex information associated with assigned activities.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in data engineering; OR a Graduate Degree in a technical discipline.
- Advanced understanding of SQL and experience setting up and maintaining key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive the development of outcomes and discover solutions.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience with REST API development and Azure software deployment.
- Experience in Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks using Python or Scala, App Services, Azure Data Lake, Azure Functions, Event Hubs, Event Grids, and Logic App.
- Experience in building Azure DevOPS pipelines to enable CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Iaas), and automation.
