**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**
As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
* Heavy phone contact with policyholders, providers, and interested third parties to provide excellent customer service and resolve inquiries
* Processing policyholder requests from correspondence, phone calls, and emails in a timely and efficient manner
* Reviewing and maintaining new and revised procedures regarding policy information to ensure accuracy and compliance
* Maintaining department standards for number of calls, average handle time, and time management to optimize productivity and efficiency
* Providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating strong communication, both written and oral, and organization skills
* Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion
* Utilizing strong decision-making skills to analyze situations and make logical conclusions
* Working in a fast-paced environment, handling high-stress situations calmly and with tact and professionalism
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess:
* A high school diploma or equivalent, with some college preferred
* At least one year of office experience, with telecommunications experience a plus
* Life and Health insurance background and knowledge of insurance operations desired
* Excellent customer service background and good phone skills
* Strong communication, both written and oral, and organization skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
* Excellent alpha and number recognition skills
* Demonstrated mathematical abilities
* Basic PC skills
* Ability to type at least 30WPM
* Reliable and predictable attendance of your assigned shift
* Ability to work Full-Time and/or Part-Time based on the specific position for which you're applying
**Physical Requirements**
As a remote work opportunity, you'll need to meet the following physical requirements:
* Heavy phone and PC usage
* Sitting for extended periods of time
* Frequently reaching above shoulder level
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work 40-hour workweek
**Additional Requirements**
To ensure your success in this role, you'll need to meet the following additional requirements:
* Reside in the Greater Houston Area
* Have high-speed internet (20mbps/Upload)
* Have a smartphone for this role
* A home office/room or quiet and designated space to work in as a remote worker is required
* Safety is hugely important to us, you will be required to have a fire extinguisher in your home
* You will be required to have a smart-phone and high-speed internet (20mbps upload) before you can start. Wi-Fi does not suffice, you will be provided with an Ethernet cable and workstation
