Your key responsibilities will include: * **Interacting with beneficiaries and providers**: Communicate effectively with external customers via phone, email, or in-person to furnish and request review information. * **Creating and formatting letters**: Prepare, proofread, and print correspondence in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. * **Maintaining timeliness**: Meet deadlines and ensure that all correspondence is sent out in a timely manner. * **Decision-making**: Make informed decisions regarding complex appeals, using your judgment and expertise to resolve issues. * **Fostering relationships**: Build and maintain effective working relationships between arenaflex's internal and external customers. * **Participating in quality control**: Utilize internal quality control tools to assess individual work and team processes, identifying areas for improvement. **Qualifications** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * **High school diploma or equivalent**: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. * **Post-high school business courses**: While not mandatory, post-high school business courses can be beneficial. * **Medical terminology**: Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus. * **Excellent verbal communication skills**: You'll need to be courteous, patient, and customer-oriented, with the ability to maintain composure under potentially stressful situations. * **Good grammar, punctuation, spelling, hyphenation, and written communications skills**: Strong written communication skills are essential. * **Customer-focused and results-oriented**: You'll need to be able to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, while prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. * **General knowledge of PC-based computer systems**: Familiarity with PC-based computer systems is desirable. * **Knowledge of software packages**: You'll need to be able to learn additional software packages as needed. * **Multi-tasking and prioritization**: You'll need to be able to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize assignments effectively. * **Organizational skills**: Strong organizational skills are essential, with the ability to work independently. **Experience** While not mandatory, we're looking for candidates with: * **Two to three years of clerical experience**: Prior experience in a clerical role, including word processing, filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities. * **Prior work in a healthcare setting or medical terminology**: Experience in a healthcare setting or medical terminology can be beneficial. * **Data entry or other clerical experience**: Previous data entry or other clerical experience is a plus. **Why Join arenaflex?** At arenaflex, we're committed to creating a work environment that's supportive, inclusive, and empowering.
