Job Summary
As a 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and distribution processes. You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, selection, and dispatch of products, while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security. Key Responsibilities
- Strategically manage the warehouse in compliance with company policies and vision, ensuring productivity targets are achieved and all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
- Oversee order selection, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations, ensuring that all products are handled and shipped in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure company policies are communicated, applied, and enforced, including HACCP, safety, SQF, operational, and regulatory policies.
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
- Plan workload, assign tasks appropriately, and appraise results, ensuring that all employees are utilized effectively and efficiently.
- Orient, coach, and motivate employees, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Verify all products shipping out have appropriate shelf life, expiration dates, LOT numbers, quantity of cases, accuracy of products, and appearance of packages.
- Coordinate with Floor Lead to ensure time-sensitive routes are loaded first, and begin invoicing routes to commence loading operations.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices, with a strong understanding of logistics and distribution operations.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases, including RF scanners, Reach trucks, Forklifts, and Pallet Jacks.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage staff, with a proven track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and stakeholders.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Knowledge of LOGISTICS, 3PL, ERP, WMS, and other relevant systems and technologies.
- Experience with INVENTORY, REPLENISH, CYCLE COUNT, RE-PACK, and ORDER SELECTOR processes.
- Familiarity with Logistics/DOT Weight Regulations and other relevant regulatory requirements.
